The CJ1031 Varistor Parameter Tester is primarily used to measure three parameters of voltage-limiting devices (such as varistors, zinc oxide surge arresters, and zener diodes): voltage (Uv, also known as DC reference voltage), leakage current (IL) at 75% Uv, and the nonlinearity coefficient (α). The instrument offers high accuracy, fast testing speed, convenient operation, and an intuitive display, with all parameters automatically measured and processed by the instrument. The instrument’s design complies with industry technical standards. Its main functions include: 1) Automatic output of the three parameters—Uv, IL, and α—in a single test; 2) Preset upper and lower limits for Uv and IL with out-of-range alarms; 3) Optional built-in RS-232 communication interface; 4) Capability to function independently as a voltage source, among others.

Performance Specifications:

1. Varistor (MOV) initial operating voltage (Uv) test range: 200 V–3000 V (maximum voltage 3000 V, minimum voltage 200 V). Four ranges are available: 500 V, 1000 V, 2000 V, and 3000 V, with an error of less than ±(1% + 2 counts);

2. Varistor (MOV) leakage current at 0.75U1mA: 0.1–199 μA. Three ranges are available: 20 μA, 200 μA, and 2 mA; error is less than ±(2% + 0.2 μA);

3. Alarm for values (Uv or IL) exceeding the set range (buzzer alarm; upper and lower limits can be set arbitrarily);

4. Two constant current test settings are available: 1 mA and 0.1 mA, with an error of ±2%;

5. Leakage current (IL) test: Default setting is 0.75U1mA; alternatively, leakage current IL can be tested at a voltage set under the condition of (X% ± 1%)Uv, or at a preset fixed voltage.

6. Nonlinearity index α (display range 1–999); the accuracy of converting the nonlinearity index α to the voltage ratio Ku is ±0.5%;

7. The instrument’s rear panel features three independent calibration functions for 1 mA constant current, 0.1 mA constant current, and leakage current measurement;

8. Optional features: A. Computer interface (not included by default), B. Bidirectional measurement selection button (unidirectional measurement by default);
